$29M Medicare IT Spend for Wyoming Eligibility System

Northrop Grumman has been selected to develop, build-out, and run a web-based enterprise Medicare eligibility system. The platform will also be made available for determining Children’s Health Insurance Program benefits.

The 2010 Affordable Care Act (ACA) laid out the requirements for the new system. The Wyoming Eligibility System will assist in meeting those requirements.  The effort is part of Wyoming’s decision to join many other states who chose to expand Medicare coverage, also under ACA.

The system will help consumers evaluate and select insurance plans online. Applications can be reviewed by staff or an automated process, which is seen as a substantial leap forward for the nation’s most rural state.
