value-based-purchasing-270Becker’s Hospital Review ran a great guest blog post this week on value-based care by BerylHealth VP Nicole Nicoloff.  In it, Nicoloff outlines a multi-tier approach to value-based programs which links physicians satisfaction and patient satisfaction.

Physician satisfaction is the only lasting foundation for patient satisfaction. It takes happy doctors and staff to have happy patients — in that order.

The post goes to great length to underscore the need for effective communication across care settings to better facilitate care coordination. Its a top-level view and is not to be missed by those keen keep apprised of developments in the emerging value-based care world.
