Marcus Cheatham
Dr. Marcus Cheatham is the Assistant Deputy Health Officer at the Ingham County Health Department. He acts as informaticist for the Department and is liaison to the Great Lakes Health Information Exchange. Marcus has served on the HIE’s Operations, Privacy and Security and Quality Improvement Committees.
He is Co-Chair of the Joint Public Health Informatics Task Force (JPHIT) and is past Chair of the National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO) Informatics Work Group, Marcus served on the Michigan Health Information Network’s Technical Workgroup which helped create Michigan’s State Health Information Exchange strategic and operational plans.
He is determined to see the day when the Behavioral Risk Factor survey is gone forever and replaced by real time clinical data.
