Gary Parker has been involved in computer systems and technology since 1980. Mr. Parker started out in the operations of legacy mainframe systems during in the 1980’s and moved into systems design and development in the early 1992. He has designed, built, and implemented various systems and subsystems over the last 19 years for both federal/state governments and private industry. Prior to joining the Alabama Medicaid Agency in August 2011, he worked for Alabama Department of Mental Health where he focused on delivery systems development, project management and strategic planning and analysis.  He also served as ADMH’s Privacy Officer.  He became involved in Alabama’s state-wide HIE initiative as a representative from the Alabama Department of Mental Health in September 2009 and become a member of Alabama HIE development team in April 2010. He currently serves as the Project Director for Alabama’s state-wide HIE, One Health Record®.
