Christopher Sullivan

Dr. Sullivan provides technical and professional leadership in Health Information Exchange (HIE) to the South Florida Regional Extension Center (REC) and its stakeholders and members. He oversees the technical development of the South Florida HIE, which will connect hospitals in the eight county South Florida REC area with the state level HIE architecture. The South Florida HIE will also work as a community-based communication network to connect the South Florida REC’s members and other interested physicians.
From 2006-2010, Dr. Sullivan administered of the Office of Health Information Exchange in the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration and was responsible for planning a statewide health information network, promoting the adoption of electronic health records and e-prescribing systems and acquiring federal and state grant funding to advance electronic health exchange across the state.
