Sharif Hussein brings 40 years of experience to CNSI, where as the Chief Strategy Officer, he works with the management team to set the company’s technology and business roadmap. Sharif has implemented and directed operations of the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) for the state of Michigan and the MMIS for the Utah Department of Health. In a partnership between the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the state of Illinois, he is leading the development, implementation and launch of CNSI’s next generation healthcare platform evoBrix ™ – the nation’s first completely automated real-time and cloud-enabled MMIS. Sharif also managed the transformation from a HIPAA 4010 environment to HIPAA 5010 along with the remediation initiative of the system to become ICD-10 compliant by the federally mandated timeline. In his role as Senior Vice President of the Midwest Region, Sharif also directed the compliance efforts for the Affordable Care Act to ensure that the Michigan, Illinois and Utah systems were ready for enrolling dual Medicare/Medicaid eligible recipients. Sharif is appointed to Michigan’s Middle Eastern Commission where he serves in advisory capacity on Middle Eastern American Affairs.
