Practice Association (MACIPA)
Rob Janett maintains an active practice as a primary care physician at a multi-ethnic public clinic affiliated with the Cambridge Health Alliance. He is an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School as well as an adjunct assistant professor of family medicine at the Brown Alpert School of Medicine. He consults on health policy issues to the World Bank and other agencies in the Latin America region, and to other healthcare organizations in the U.S. For the past three years he has led primary care improvement projects in the Saúde Suplementar in Brazil.
Rob is the Senior Policy Advisor, after serving 25 years as Medical Director, at the Mount Auburn Cambridge Independent Practice Association (MACIPA). MACIPA is a Massachusetts physician organization with over 500 members, providing quality improvement, care management, contracting, and information management services to support better patient care. He is also the Medical Director for Accountable Care at Care New England Health Systems in Providence, Rhode Island.
