Rex has extensive management experience in both the private sector and state government. Rex has managed numerous strategic initiatives for large companies and has run several early stage start-up companies. He has previously served as the Deputy CIO for the State of Ohio and was the State’s first Enterprise Health IT Officer. Rex developed and funded the Ohio Health Information Partnership, a public private partnership which functions as a statewide health information exchange and regional extension center.
He is currently working with the Governor’s Office of Health Transformation. He is responsible for manage numerous strategic initiatives including: implementing an integrated eligibility system, developing an enterprise health and human services business intelligence capability, and expanding the use of health information technology and exchanges.
