[Recap] Spring 2012 Accountable Care and Health IT Strategies Summit
The 2012 Healthcare IT Connect Spring Summit included presentations and discussions from a wide variety of healthcare IT leaders. All involved brought years of experience and a willingness to both share ideas and listen to feedback from audience participants.
Beginning first with a brief history of the fundamental transformation leading up to the era of accountable care. Jim relates the changes in healthcare as being legislatively based as much as they are market driven. A focus on value, changes in care delivery models, and shifting some of the responsibility to consumers are some of the key points recommended in facilitating that transformation.
