Dr. Menacker graduated medical school in 1982. Following an Internal Medicine Residency he worked for two years in the United States Public Health Service, caring for migrant farm workers. In 1988, he moved to northern New Jersey and began his relationship with Hackensack University Medical Center.
Following multiple opportunites, including Director of an Internal Medicine Residency, developing a Geriatics Fellowship Program, private medical practice, and healthcare consulting and management, Dr. Menacker was appointed Director of Population Health at HUMC in 2011. This included the role as President of the Hackensack Accountable Care Organization. In addition, Dr. Menacker is currently interim Chair of the Department of Medicine at HUMC since February 2015.
