Date: 10.25.2013 | Zach Urbina">Zach Urbina
The “higher bar” and “increased complexity” to achieve the 2nd stage of Meaningful Use is giving some vendors a run for the proverbial money, according to a the CEO of the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT).

The clinical quality measures, interoperability requirements, and quality & reporting metrics are making attestation for stage 2 a great deal more involved for the vendors who are looking to cash in on CMS’ EHR incentive program.

The CCHIT reported that of the 2000+ yet certified prodcuts, only slightly more than 20% of them have been completely certified.
