Hunt Blair serves as Deputy Commissioner for Health Care Reform in the Department of Vermont Health Access, the state’s Medicaid agency. The Division has responsibility to coordinate across state government, and with public and private partners, to foster collaboration, inclusiveness, consistency, and effectiveness in health care reform. It is also the state lead for HIT and Health Information Exchange policy, planning and oversight. Blair is active in national discussions about the integration of HIT and health reform and serves on the ONC HIT Policy Committee Information Exchange Work Group.
Previously, Blair served as Vermont Director of Public Policy at Bi-State Primary Care Association, where he oversaw expansion of Vermont’s community health center program from two FQHC grantees operating seven sites in 2002 to eight FQHC grantees operating 41 sites today.
