On May 21st, the 2013 State Healthcare IT Connect Summit convenes in Baltimore, Maryland and will welcome State HIT strategists from the public and private sectors to share ideas and benchmark implementation strategies of health IT systems as States move forward with their diverse health reform agendas.

HIMSS and NASCIO recently announced a joint presentation that will be delivered at the May meeting, entitled The Health IT Landscape in the States: Through the Lens of the State CIO which will draw upon the preliminary data from the NASCIO and HIMSS survey collaboration focusing on the general landscape of information technology supporting State healthcare initiatives, including categories such as governance models, Health Information Exchange (HIE), Health Information Technology (HIT), Health Insurance (Market) Exchanges (HIX) and other technology investments.

This survey collaboration is the result of a year long effort of NASCIO and  HIMSS in identifying key trends, activities  and challenges states address that states are facing in today’s industry and will provide critical insights into State HIT technology investments and strategies that are being employed across the country.

This is a presentation not to be missed.
