Meaningful-Use-270Six key Republican senators have formally requested feedback from healthcare professionals, with the hope of realigning the CMS-backed electronic health records incentive program. Their specific inquiry was aimed at changing elements of the attestation of Meaningful Use standards.

The white paper, authored by Senators John Thune of South Dakota, Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, Pat Roberts of Kansas, Richard Burr of North Carolina, Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, and Mike Enzi of Wyoming, was addressed to the US healthcare community in a general, broad scope.
