Dr. Elizabeth Ennis has been with Baptist Health System’s Medical Education program since 1994. Before being named Vice President, Medical Education and Research, she served as Director of the Internal Medicine and Transitional Residency programs at BHS. She received her medical degree from the University of South Alabama in 1989 and did her internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she also completed her residency and a fellowship in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism. Dr. Ennis is the author of several publications and has been the principal investigator of clinical research projects. In addition, she has been an invited lecturer at both the local and national levels on her work.
