Delaware HIX Set for State-Fed Partnership | Minnesota, Rhode Island Go It Alone
Three more states have received the seal of approval on their health insurance exchange plans, including Delaware, which is the first state that is partnering with the federal government on its online marketplace to get the go-ahead.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius also conditionally approved the state-based exchange blueprints of Minnesota and Rhode Island, according to a Dec. 20 announcement and letters to the states.
The three joined eight states plus the District of Columbia who last week got the okay on their exchange blueprints. Those states were Colorado, Connecticut, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Oregon, and Washington.
