Climbing the Data Governance Mountain: The Great Expedition
Every mountain “climb” begins with a plan and training needed to ensure you can successfully reach the summit. Similar to mountain climbing, inexperience and poor planning can result in failure when maturing your organization’s data governance. Despite the potential negatives, when done right, achieving mature data governance, like mountain climbing, can be an exciting and rewarding experience. In this session, MO HealthNet (MHD), Missouri’s Medicaid Agency, will share details regarding the Information Management Maturity Assessment they conducted as the first step of their climb and how the results of that assessment helped formulate their expedition’s “itinerary” to address the challenges (data quality issues, data complexity, data silos, quality data management) of climbing the Data Governance Mountain. Learn more as MHD shares the results of their recent collaboration with Chief Data Officers from other state Medicaid agencies, as well as, the progress of their expedition toward reaching the Data Governance summit.
