Jim Leonard is Director of Maine’s Office of the State Coordinator for Health Information Technology, which includes oversight of the state Medicaid HIT program. Prior to assuming this position he managed the Maine Quality Forum where he focused on healthcare quality, cost, and access issues. Jim has significant public health and Medicaid program experience. He served on the executive committees of both the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors and on the federal CDC Diabetes Program. He was also among the founding members of Quality Counts, a statewide health care quality improvement program and served on its executive board for several years. Jim holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of New England.
